I have been blessed with many spiritual and mystical experiences. I was baptized Lutheran then Presbyterian then I went to college.  In college after reading “The Varieties of Religious Experiences” I had this whole world oceanic feeling that William James calls the Presence and warm tears came down my face and I felt joy.  The best description of this is the joyful participation in the sorrows of the world or compassion.   I learned many years latter I was an empath and could feel another person’s pain or desire in my own body.  And that there is no other.  I had this horrific dream of seeing a combination of a Tyrannosaurs Rex and an Allasaurus above me on a hill.  I was in terror I knew I was going to die.  I saw a man’s hands and face pressed against the inside of the beasts chest dead with mouth open in horror.  I was in horror also.  I knew I was going to die.  I said ‘God help me” and I felt this invisible presence of God descend and at my left side and I was instantly at peace.   Then the presence of God came inside of me and I felt this deep compassion for this beast and reached out my hand to help.  Another time, I had to write a paper in college on what some philosophers called the wisdom beyond words.  I sat in the library for 3 hours in silence and no words came expect the word ‘Purpose”.   Years ago I was in total despair and everything I had tried I failed at.  I wrapped my arms around myself and said regardless of what happens ‘I love you unconditionally Michael” and wept and fell asleep.  The next morning I woke and a warm radiating ecstatic feeling was in my heart and two voices were signing in harmony “Love, Love, Love”.   I was in ecstasy.  I had a dream where I saw the shadow of the Egyptian God Anubis lit against a stone wall in a pyramid.  In a deep and profound voice he said to me “Prophecy through the Heart”.   A friend of mine’s wife was on the Tibetan Buddhist path and she said a mindfulness prayer in Tibetan to us and my consciousness bi-located.  I was viewing the three of us through my eyes and also from about four feet above my head I was watching the three of us sitting at the table.  I quit work in 1990 and was hiking with my dog and felt afraid and depressed and in a lot of pain.  I called out “God help me” and I turned and looked into the forest and saw darkness and the light shining through the mist and my body was instantly in peace and I could feel this peace and silence subtly vibrating inside of me.  Years latter, I was walking through the woods one day and had a vision of being in total darkness and in total peace and silence.   I had no body and no mind.  I then became aware that I could see in the darkness by a radiant clear light and then I got this notion I wanted to move in this darkness and radiant clear light and then the realization hit me that that was a silly notion because all of this was me and my consciousness expanded infinitely in all directions, the silence and peace expanded in all directions infinitely and I as the witness of all this was in awe then the “I” as the witness disappeared.  Then after some time my consciousness as the witness reappeared and I heard this profound voice say to me “I am who I am, I am nothing and All of this is Me.”  And it was my voice.   I had experienced pure awareness, pure spirit, nonduality.   An energy healer did some work on me and I sat there and had a full body silent knowing with unmovable confidence.  A rock solid Knowing without any content. 

Years ago an energy healer put me back into my body and I felt fully present for the first time in this life.  I was full of peace and everything looked new and radiant and I was in awe.  There was no duality between the first seven energy levels in the body called chakras and the Causal, Buddhic, Christ and Atmic bodies above one’s crown chakra. 

There were other experiences also.  I spent years searching for the truth these experiences were pointing to.
